UHPA Response to President MRC Greenwood’s December 21st Letter

Open Letter of Solidarity with UH Faculty by Graduate Students

Graduate students and graduate student alumni at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, write to express their solidarity with the UH faculty who voted to protect affordable, public higher education in Hawai'i. By voting to reject the university's Last Best Final Offer, the UH faculty clearly demonstrated their commitment to UH students and quality public education.

The economy does not appear to be improving soon and fingers may now be pointing at University of Hawaii faculty with the questions: Why didn't you accept the UH administration's last best final offer? Locate Your Ballot

Your secured ballot is found under the subject “UHPA Voting and Ballot Information.” It was sent from "Rovena Varde". If you provided UHPA with a private email address the ballot info was sent there. Otherwise, faculty who had not provided a private email address should have received the ballot info at their hawaii.edu address. If you do not see it in your inbox folder, you may need to check your spam/junk email folder. Still having problems locating the ballot? Call UHPA before 5:00 pm at (808)593-2157.

UHPA Members – Remember to Vote by 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, October 7

If you have not cast your ballot on the employers “Last Best Final Offer” it must be done by 11:59 p.m. tonight. UHPA Files Class Grievance

A class grievance was filed on behalf of all members of Bargaining Unit 7 regarding the Interpretation and Application of Article XXII-E of the 2003-2009 Agreement between the University of Hawaii Professional Assembly and the Board of Regents of the University of Hawaii.
