UH West O‘ahu Assistant Professor Wins the UH Regents’ Medal for Excellence in Teaching Award

Richard Jones is an assistant professor in elementary education at UH West O‘ahu and serves on the UHPA Board of Directors. A true believer that science is everywhere, he adapts and modifies numerous lessons, labs and activities to use local data, local geomorphology and local issues to which the students can directly relate. 2014-2015 Procedures for Evaluation of Faculty at UH-Manoa

UHPA and UH Manoa recently completed negotiations on Procedures for Evaluation of Faculty at UH Manoa. This is a part of the settlement to a prohibited practice dealing with five year faculty evaluation procedures.

She serves as Chair of the Graduate Program, providing academic and career guidance to graduate students, and she is equally as adept with leading educational programs for elementary school children.
