The event, “Being Out At Work Hawai'i,” will be held Thursday, October 13 (two days after NCOD), 6:30PM, at the offices of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU), Local 142 (451 Atkinson Dr.) in Honolulu. It will feature a showing of the documentary, "Out At Work," followed by a panel discussion with local LGBT workers. Pupus and drinks will be provided; limited free parking is available. The event is sponsored by Pride at Work Hawai'i.

In a show of community support and union solidarity, H.E.R.E. Local 5 is organizing a mass picket on Saturday, September 10 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Wear your UHPA shirt and march in solidarity with Hyatt workers. If you cannot attend Saturday’s rally, your support will be gratefully appreciated anytime this week. Picketing will continue 24/7 until midnight Wednesday, September 14 with special surges in picketing planned for 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. each day.
