The University of Hawaii Professional Assembly (UHPA) cordially invites you to “Making Waves in Politics: Fast-Track Conversations with Local Leaders” on Friday, June 12, 2026, at The Pacific Club from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Why Attend? Politics affects everything we do, but your local leaders shouldn’t feel out of reach! Join our fun, fast-paced round-robin event to meet some of Hawai‘i’s local leaders face-to-face. In these small, 10-minute table chats, you will have a direct line to ask questions, learn about their work, and share your perspective. Come enjoy food and fellowship, connect with your community, and get empowered to make your voice heard!
Space is Limited! We are capping this event at 60 guests to ensure the conversations remain intimate and impactful. While this event is open to everyone, priority registration is given to UHPA members.

Agenda:
- 6:00 pm – 6:20 pm: Sign in, grab food, enter the prize drawing, and visit our voter registration booth
- 6:20 pm – 6:40 pm: Opening remarks from UHPA leadership
- 6:40 pm – 7:00 pm: Group photo and final preparations
- 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm: “Round Robin” style chats begin, with groups shifting every 10 minutes
- 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm: Fast-track conversations conclude, after which guests are welcome to visit tables, enjoy refreshments, mingle, and stick around for the final prize drawing
