AFT Dues Increase $0.12 Per Pay Period
As announced at the UHPA Annual Meeting on April 11, 2025, the delegates at the 2024 Biennial AFT Convention (including UHPA’s representatives) approved a $0.25 monthly increase in AFT member dues for the 2025–2026 academic year, effective September 1, 2025.
For UHPA members, this translates to an additional $0.12 per pay period, bringing your total AFT dues to from $10.09 to $10.21 per pay period. The change will take effect beginning with your September 19, 2025 paycheck.
$2,500 AD&D Coverage from American Income Life
Your UHPA Member Benefits Committee has partnered with American Income Life to provide all UHPA members in good standing with $2,500 Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) coverage. This is in addition to the $5,000 AD&D coverage you already receive as an AFT member. Coverage is already in place and is active 24/7, on or off the job, and is completely free to you.
In a couple of weeks, you will receive a letter in the mail from UHPA notifying you of this benefit, with the option of designating a beneficiary and sending a beneficiary card back to American Income Life for their records. If you do so, you will be contacted by American Income Life to discuss additional benefits they offer, including:
- Legacy Will Kit to help protect your family’s future
- AIL Plus membership for discounts on dental care, prescription, and more,
- Options to purchase other American Income Life products and services.
