UHPA Workshop on 5/23: Understanding the Differences Between Union Negotiations and Union Consultations

Aloha UHPA Members,

As part of the UHPA Board of Director’s mission and goal to have an active and engaged membership, UHPA will be conducting a series of workshops to help members become better informed and empowered.  These workshops will aim to build a strong member network by strengthening its connections and increasing the dialogue, conversations, and interactions on important topics concerning faculty and the academy it serves.

The first workshop focuses on understanding the differences between union negotiations and union consultations as prescribed by law and embodied within the contract, including how they can intersect with academic consultation and academic governance.

See below for details.  Light refreshments will be provided.  In person attendance will be capped at 25 participants due to space limitations.  Therefore, a Zoom option will also be provided.  Note:  If you plan on attending, please RSVP by emailing Jamie Mow at jmow@uhpa.org and note whether you will be joining in person or via Zoom.
