Local Company with Over 60 Years of Doing Business in Hawaii
Founded in 1961 by Mr. Lex Brodie, Lex Brodie’s Tire Company has become a legendary household name for local residents living on Oahu. Many remember his early television commercials of the “Flintstone” look-alike character carving a stone wheel on a Flintstone vehicle to his signature slogan “Thank you…very much.”
Born Alexander “Lex” Hofgaard Brodie in Kekaha, Kauai in 1941, Lex Brodie successfully started and built the company from a home garage; to his first store on Queen Street in 1964; to eventually building out two (2) original locations on Oahu. While Lex Brodie passed in 2013, his legacy and company still lives on and it is still a locally owned and operated Hawaii business, and has expanded to four (4) locations.
