On August 24th, 2024 UHPA is partnering with the AFT and First Book through its Reading Opens the World program to give away 5,000 new, award-winning books to Maui families.
Each child can receive up to five books; families can receive a total of 20 books, available on a first come, first serve basis. This family-friendly event will also give away free popcorn, cotton candy, bookmarkers, stickers and other great prizes. There will also be special guests attending the event including an appearance by the Lahaina Firefighters and local children’s author Lori Abreu.
