This event will be held on Monday, March 22, 2010, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abercrombie for Governor Headquarters (Ward Warehouse, 2nd Floor, next door to Kincaid's). Attendance is free of charge.

It has come to the attention of UHPA that misinformation is still being conveyed regarding administrative leave during the four days preceding Kuhio Day as provided by the recently ratified contract and signed collective bargaining agreement.

Bargaining Unit 07 members are able to cast their vote electronically on a password secured site up until 12:01 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2010. Whether you support the tentative agreement or want it rejected, the best interests of the faculty-at-large are served through a high voter turnout.

It is extraordinary that thus far the Circuit Court has not responded to the motion made by UHPA for a Temporary Restraining Order that would have prevented the unilateral 6.667% reduction in the paychecks received by faculty members today.

All UHPA members and guests are encouraged to participate. The parade begins at 9:00 a.m. from Magic Island, Ala Moana Park and will take approximately 90 minutes to walk to Kapiolani Park via Ala Moana Boulevard and Kalakaua Avenue. Meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Ulumau parking lot next to the canoe storage area at the Magic Island end of Ala Moana Park. Assemble and sign in at the UHPA banner. Wear UHPA shirt and/or hat, comfortable shoes and sunscreen and bring water. Stay for the unity rally, entertainment, food booths, community booths, and children's playground at Kapiolani Park Bandstand.
