UHPA’s Position: UHPA supports strong and aggressive action on stopping further data breaches as well as remedies that capture the real damage when identity theft occurs. Minimally credit monitoring and reports services should be provided victims; capturing of damages for injury; and appropriate measures implemented to protect data with updates needed as technology changes.
