UHPA cites breach of contract, demands Greenwood retract letter to faculty that unilaterally imposes “Last, Best, Final Offer” by 4 p.m. tomorrow. UHPA demands Greenwood stop implementation of proposed contract changes until arbitration decision.

Holiday Office Hours

The UHPA office is normally open from Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, we will be closed at 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 24th and December 31st. The office will also be closed on Friday, December 25th and January 1st. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

UHPA Responds to Salary Reductions

Today’s action is without precedent in the history of the State of Hawaii. Never has the State repudiated a collective bargaining agreement that they signed and attempted to nullify its provisions. In July 2009, Arbitrator Mario Ramil made it clear in a final, binding decision that the current contract remains in full force and effect until a new contract is in place.
