Pride At Work Events

Pride at Work is sponsoring two workshops on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender workplace issues and protections. These training sessions are designed to prepare employees and union members with the necessary tools to create a workplace that is free from bias. The workshops are funded through a grant from the McElrath Fund for Economic and Social Justice.

UHPA’s Campaign Approach Yields Positive Results

UHPA members have good reason to celebrate over last night’s General Election results. The overwhelming majority of candidates endorsed by UHPA won, and involved some hard-won battles, particularly the governor’s race and two legislative races involving incumbents Rep. Jessica Wooley and Rep. Karl Rhoads. Rep. Wooley represents Laie, Hauula, Punaluu, Kahana, Kaaawa, Waikane, Kahaluu, Ahuimanu and Kaneohe and Rep. Rhoads represents Palama, Downtown, Chinatown and Sheridan.
