The University of Hawaii has settled several lawsuits regarding possible data breaches at the University. Faculty members have received a notice of settlement. We have been briefed by the attorneys on the settlement and we believe this is a good result. There is no need to call the court.

Saturday, the UHPA BOD endorsed two candidates running in the Democratic Party Primary election races for the US Senate and US House
All employees considering retirement within the next few years are encouraged to attend. As planning for retirement should start early, others who have never attended a session and would like to know more about their retirement benefits are also encouraged to attend on a space available basis.

This year there will be Board elections at Kapiolani CC, Leeward CC, UH Maui College, UH-Manoa, and UH-West Oahu. Five positions will need to be filled for UH-Manoa and one position for each of the other campuses.
